There are solutions to creating positive school climates that reduce suspensions and improve academic achievement!
Join us on October 2nd to learn about concrete ways we can improve the learning environment in our schools.

The webinar will introduce participants to the Model Code as tool for implementing social and emotional learning in schools through approaches like Restorative Practices and School-Wide Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports, which research has shown increase academic achievement.  The Code also sets out guidelines for how we can better ensure that due process rights of students and families are protected in the disciplinary process and reduce the use of exclusionary practices in the form of suspension, expulsion and policing.

What is the Model Code?
The Dignity in Schools Campaign Model Code on Education and Dignity is the culmination of several years of research and dialogue with students, parents, educators, advocates and researchers across the country who came together to envision a school system that supports all children and young people in reaching their full potential.  It presents a set of recommended policies to schools, districts and legislators to support the education of the whole child and to implement positive and effective approaches to school discipline.
